Silence is the third book in the Hush, hush saga. Becca Fitzpatrick does an amazing job of keeping Nora Grey the main character. On the same track. All but for the fact that in Silence she loses memory of the last five months. That entails everything that every happened with Patch. She can't remember being shot toward the end of the second book. She didn't remember Scott giving her, his car...he left a voice mail a phone telling her a few things. I wonder what became of the voice mail. Silence opens up with Patch and Nora's real father and his "men" in a graveyard. Patch gives up his wings on a promise that at the end of the summer Nora would be released and her real father. Tells Patch that by the time he is done with her, she won't remember him.
I wish I knew what happened in the 11 weeks Nora's real father held her. I wish I knew where Patch was. Nora found him once in her dreams the same night she came home form the hospital. Patch erased it from her memory. Telling her before that he was doing it for her to protect her...She remembered him for several minutes and he erased it. I can't help but wonder what he is afraid of? Is he weaker without his wings? Does he feel that he can't protect her up close anymore? She decide that same night she needed to go back to cemetery she woke up in. The color black seems to drive her there. She doesn't understand why and unfortunately as the reader neither do I. Marcie Miller, has just found out that Nora's mother is dating her dad. Hank Miller .
